Preserves, Parks, and Gardens

Sacramento Valley Conservancy is our local land trust preserving open space. Visit one of their preserves!

Take a tree tour to learn about our urban forest canopy. Sacramento Tree Foundation has eleven locations with completed tour guides you can download.

County Parks also have exporation opportunities along the American River Parkway and Dry Creek Parkway.

Interesting Spaces

Take a tour of the murals this awesome festival is adding to blank walls every year.

Franklin Blvd. also has a nice concentration of murals and a guide.

Historic Sites

Take a walking tour of some of the historic districts! Heritage Sacramento has developed three tours with an app and maps that you can download to start.
